Hope you all have a shakin’ weekend! I’m sure we will with Boy Blue!
The picture below is of him contributing the the musical melodies of Drum Love at a dear friend’s wedding. It was hard for me to take these and keep the camera still as I was laughing so hard that I was in tears. B B you make me a very happy Mommy ♥

The wedding was fantastic! It was the first wedding for which I was the photographer. Drum Love put on a great show and included the groom and all the children in on their songs by bringing loads of additional drums and other children friendly instruments along. To find out more about Drum Love go here.
I found this makeover of Ez’s daughters room on her Creature Comforts blog– a fabulous blog which has become one of my frequent blog reads now. Her makeover caught my eye because of several beautiful designed elements such as the curtain seperated bed nook, the bright yellow walls contrasted by the turquoise blue area rug and accesories, and the use of varied hand-made art and craftwork all over the room.

This teenage girl must be in heaven in her new lofty surroundings. Well done Ez on the room makeover. To see more of what Ez does at Creature Comforts visit her blog here.

This post is a bit vintage as the Worcester Vintage WAVE Fair was back at the end of July, but the time has now come for another Vintage Fair in Worcester this weekend, August 28 and 29th so you can go and have a look for some of the great vintage shops and items I mention here now.
I had a fabulous time at the last fair looking at all the wonderful 40’s dressed fans courtesy of Le Keux Events, the fabulous area vintage shops such as Textile Treasure Seeker, Richmond Retro, Toadstool Vintage, and Second Hand Rose to name a few. But I found Vintage Vanity particular interesting as they were selling these adorable stuffed toys fashioned from vintage fabrics! Check out this adorable owl I picked up for Boy Blue. This little guy was created by the mother of a shop assistant at Vintage Vanity. If you want to get one of your own or find out more about other stuffed vintage toys contact Charlie at Vintage Vanity from Tuesday through to Saturday between 10AM and 4PM or to contact by email go here.

A couple of weekends ago, we went over to Upton and popped into one of my new favourite places, Clives Fruit Farm. I was first introduced to the place by Jennie (one of my breastfeeding calendar mums) who had her H & W Breastfeeding Calendar photography shoot there with me. I love it to say the least. They have pick your own & a fresh farm shop including a lovely fresh fruit and veg market and their range of homemade apple juices and ciders…yum! You really can make a day of it there as there are farm animals to pet and feed, plenty of space to run around and a little play park. There is ample seating both inside and out for lunch and a cuppa too! And their prices are superb…ideal cost for quality fresh food!
Here are my photos from the day. I highly recommend an outing to anyone in the area and a quick stop for those visiting. You’ll love it too!

I was looking recently at Pip Studios adoring all of their fabulous wallpapers and then I came across Susana’s (aka Citrus and Orange) daughter, Carlota’s room in Porto, Portugal. She used the Pip Chinese Rose Wallpaper to decorate. I ♥ it! It’s fabulous Susana!

The room is filled with a bed and desk unit, which I adore. It was a clever decorating and space saving combo. The area rug is from Vertbaudet, the bedspread from Designer’s Guild, the wall art from Beijos de Algodao and bird decoration from Ravenhill. Beautiful designed Susana. To see more of Susana’s house and her design loves visit her blog Citrus and Orange here.
I came across Jobean at a recent Worcester City Baby Fair where I was exhibiting my photography for Egg In The Nest.

Jobean is owned and sown by the lovely and happy mother of Josie, Alice. Alice is so very talented sewer and finds great vintage and mod prints to create lovley bibs and bags for babies and children. I couldn’t resist when I saw her display at the baby fair and had to have some for Boy Blue ! After testing the bibs out on B B and his heavy-duty teething drool, I experienced first hand just how wonderful the three-ply bibs really were! I also realised they’d make some fantastic gifts for friends with little ones so off I went to the Jobean website and easily ordered loads more! Alice also creates fantastic bags ideal for little ones off to nuresry or school. We use ours for when B B is off to nursery or on a short trip into town to carry his nappies, wipes, spare change of clothes and for some small books and toys for entertainment. I think it is great because it is something he can even use as he gets older for sleep overs at friends or to take to the library for books! Alice does a wonderful job at personalising both the bibs and bags too!
Aside from being incredibly cute and irresistable, the bibs and bags are reasonably priced. If you buy bibs individually they are £6 or $9 each (current exchange rate of £1 to $1.50). If you buy them in threes they are three fro £16 or $24. The bags are £12 or $18 or can be personalised for an extra £3 or $4.50. Jobean is based here in the UK but will also ship internationally to North America. Just contact Alice for the details on shipping internationally. Now get on her website, have a look and get your Jobean fix too!
Here are some more photos of the Jobean products we have gotten our hands on…

When I first started blogging I thought 200 posts…that’ll take forever to reach! But it’s here and boy did it seem quick just like Baby Blue growing up! Thanks to all my lovely readers for encouraging me to keep on posting and to all the great mothers who are creators and crafters that give me something to talk about and share with my friends, family and the rest of the world wide web!
